Position Summary: 

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Savana for an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Outreach Officer, to join the Savana team. The role’s aim is to promote good relations and practices towards different minority groups in order to improve support for survivors of Sexual Violence from marginalised and minoritised communities in North Staffordshire, with a focus on building pathways to access support and removing barriers. The successful candidate will be expected to establish/re-establish working relationship with partner agencies, local community, and faith groups in order to raise awareness and reduce barriers to accessing support.

The successful candidate will be expected to work within the ethos of Savana; understand and operate within Savana’s policies, procedures and guidelines. They will also be required to understand and operate the principles and procedures of equal opportunities and safeguarding.

Key Responsibilities:

This role will involve the development, monitoring and review of policies and strategies designed to ensure our service is as accessible as possible and awareness of our work is heightened in communities where we are currently underrepresented.


A full driving licence is required to undertake the duties of this role and we welcome applications from people from ethnic minority backgrounds.
